COMPARISON - FAKE vs REAL - Etude House Fresh Cherry Tint
How about the basics?
Lip tints are highly bought basic makeup items every since "gradient lips" trend became super popular on the internet thanks to the Korean makeup culture! Personally, i love this trend and there are toooons and tons of products recommended to use if you want to achive these innocent yet pretty looking lips! Ebay was again a huge help because it offers many dupe and real products - it's up to you if you can tell the difference or not (≧д≦ヾ) But as usual, if something is horrible cheap you know it's fake... xD
I bought myself this fake orange Etude tint with my own money but i was also lucky enough to win a giveaway back in May 2016 (after my purchase) in the shade "red" so i had a fake and a real Fresh Cherry tint, just in different colours!
The orange one is the fake and the red is the real! It's quite hard to tell which is the fake since, once again, the dupe one has a really great quality to confuse us! Great job, fake-factories! ಥ ‿ ಥ
You can see some tiny, little changes between their boxes but you have to be really watchful! I'm always so amazed how the fake ones are made almost perfectly compared to the real ones!
The first conspicuous difference can be seen after you roll down the cup! The real one has a fluffy, slightly bigger brush, while the fake one has a short and rather smooth applicator. For me, i think the original one makes a better job and it feels nicer on the lips too!
But let's see the real thing! How does the actual tint look like inside their tubes?? (❁°͈▵°͈)
Before i tried them on my lips i applied them onto the back of my hand. At first glance, there isn't anything notable... They both feel and look creamy, the smell is strong (but i guess it's okay since Etude always makes strongly parfumed products) and they faded similarly after i washed them off from my hand. The colours look really pretty on my hand! I was really excited about the fake one, since i'm a huge fan of orange shaded lip products and i was hoping for the best!
...well, i was too high on cloud 9....
*depressive music in the background*
I mean, you can tell me "lol what were you even expecting in the first place?" but as a material girl who rarely has money, i was hoping it will be a little bit close to my expectations. I was not dreaming of the same results, BUT THIS IS THE WORST OUTCOME I COULD'VE IMAGINED.First of all, the fake tint looks pale on the lips and nearly has any pigmentation after application... it dries into a matt finish but fades really quickly *sobs* also, it's super bitter if you lick it by accident... ( ب_ب )
But on the other hand, the real one is amazing! (٭°̧̧̧꒳°̧̧̧٭) It made my lips moisturized and if you give it a 10 minutes of drying it will still looks glossy but won't fade after the first sip of your coffee! The colour is vibrant and smells just like cherries!
After all, this review is one of those proofs when you really have to consider buying the real thing if you want to achive the promised look. In this case, we are lucky since the real one is not even that expensive yaaay!
